COMMISSION STAFF WORKING DOCUMENT – Implementing the Strategic Guidelines for EU aquaculture Regulatory and administrative framework for aquaculture

In response to aquaculture producers’ calls to reduce the administrative burden on establishing and operating aquaculture sites in the EU, the Commission has published the staff working document Implementing the Strategic Guidelines for EU aquaculture Regulatory and administrative framework for aquaculture.

The document aims to offer a direct link between problem and solution, providing to the extent possible a tailored approach to solving a specific problem related to the regulatory framework and administrative procedures in aquaculture as identified in the Strategic Guidelines.

The staff working document describes in more detail and consolidates good practices and tools on the regulatory framework and administrative procedures related to aquaculture and illustrates them with concrete examples from Member States and non-EU countries.
