Regional Aquaculture Conference: Shaping the future of sustainable aquaculture in the Mediterranean and the Black Sea

General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean (GFCM) and the Ministry of Rural Development and Food of the Hellenic Republic are organising the regional conference Shaping the future of sustainable aquaculture in the Mediterranean and the Black Sea, which will take place in Heraklion, Greece between 04 – 05 Dec 2024.

The event aims to bring together top officials, country representatives, aquaculture specialists and professionals from throughout the region to evaluate the progress made over the past ten years, discuss newg challenges and set priorities.

The conference will feature thematic sessions including topics such as:

  • Aquaculture food production systems of today and tomorrow;
  • Advancing towards ecologically sustainable aquaculture food production systems;
  • Navigating change: strategies facing current and emerging challenges.
